Travel RN - Medical Respiratory Unit (Tuscaloosa, Alabama)

Job Details

Unit Description

42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit specializing in acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6 for general unit, 1:4 for an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit.
Patient population includes those with pneumonia, COPD, shortness of breath, various lung diseases, GI issues, diabetes, occasional stroke, and surgical patients.
Daily interdisciplinary team rounds.

Requirements

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
Licenses: Registered Nurse license for Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification
Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience; will consider 18 months if under highest professional license, with at least 1 year in specialty field.

Additional Information

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
EMR system used: Meditech
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
