Travel RN - Medical Respiratory Unit (Tuscaloosa, Alabama)
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Respiratory / Telemetry (7 Night Shift)
- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Holidays as required

Unit Description
- 42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit specializing in acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6 for general unit, 1:4 for an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit.
- Patient population includes those with pneumonia, COPD, shortness of breath, various lung diseases, GI issues, diabetes, occasional stroke, and surgical patients.
- Daily interdisciplinary team rounds.
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Licenses: Registered Nurse license for Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
- Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification
- Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience; will consider 18 months if under highest professional license, with at least 1 year in specialty field.
Additional Information
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- EMR system used: Meditech
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
