    Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

    Job Description

    • Perform routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician-developed treatment plans.
    • Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to deliver safe, precise, and timely procedures.
    • Gain patient and family cooperation through competent assessment, monitoring, and communication.
    • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety.
    • May perform specific procedures and orient new staff to the department.
    • Shift start times are flexible between 6 AM and 12 PM.

    Required Certifications

    • ARRT (Therapy)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • State License
    • Must have experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT systems.

    Background Check Requirements

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable.
    • FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
    • Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start.
    • Education verification of highest level achieved (not required if high school is highest).
    • Transcript/Diploma verification as needed.
    • OFAC Sanctions List search if FACIS III cannot be run.
    • State-specific Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List search if FACIS III cannot be run.

    Certifications & Competencies (Additional as applicable)

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only.
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC only.
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP only, Instructor or Advanced Provider Course.
    • CCRN (Critical Care RN)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – valid for 4 years.
    • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – typically for Labor & Delivery.
    • IV Certification (for LVN/LPN/Other as applicable).
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB).
    • NIH Stroke Certification.
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute).
    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam as applicable.
    • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) for ICU RNs at certain locations.

    Health & Immunization Requirements

    • Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must clear for work).
    • Fit Mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply).
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years.
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually.
    • Immunity or vaccination for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
    • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or signed declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30).
    • Color Blind Exam (in-person) if applicable.
    • Respiratory Safety Clearance prior to start, renewed annually (exceptions apply).

    • TB Screening Questionnaire (within 90 days, renewed annually)
    • Epic Questionnaire (RN only, required for new candidates starting 11/3/2025 onward)

    Employment History & References

    • Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps.
    • Employment verification for up to 7 years required.
    • 2 professional references required for clinical, allied, per diem acute care candidates; 1 for per diem non-acute care.
    • References will not hold up client clearance.

    Additional Notes

    • Flexibility in shift start times (6 AM to 12 PM) is required.
    • Must comply with all background checks, certifications, health documents, and facility-specific requirements.
    • Religious exemptions for vaccines and facial hair (PAPR) are considered on a case-by-case basis with required documentation.
    • Candidates with work restrictions must provide documentation; accommodations will be coordinated with Employee Health Services.
