Physical Therapy Job Opportunity

Location: Webster, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy interventions using appropriate tools and techniques while following safety safeguards.
• Document patient information for evaluation and establish/modify therapeutic plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises.
• Treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of current research and incorporate it into daily treatment.
• Follow accepted clinical practice guidelines and meet all regulatory documentation requirements.
• Work primarily in an outpatient hospital-based setting with some coverage of inpatient and sub-acute units.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekends, no call, no working alone

Unit Details

• 8 beds in the unit
• Dress code: Casual
• Floating primarily within outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of South Dakota
• BLS certification required

Orientation and Training

• Standard orientation covering safety measures, HIPAA, and standard precautions
• Department-specific training on equipment and modalities

Additional Information

• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Prior employment with the facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before re-submission
