Job Opportunity: Outpatient Orthopedic Therapist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Kenosha, Wisconsin
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 4x10 hour days per week
- 2 days: 7am - 5pm
- 2 days: 7am - 6pm
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
- Locals Accepted: Yes (at a lower rate)
- First Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Patient Care:
- 60-minute one-on-one sessions
- No overlapping patients
- Each therapist has their own treatment room surrounding a large gym space
- License: Wisconsin Physical Therapist License preferred (pending license accepted)
- Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support): ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted
- Other certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) may be required depending on specialty but not specified as mandatory for this role
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- State-specific caregiver screening (Wisconsin Caregiver Search) required
- Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters)
- Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed prior to start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray acceptable if within 60 days)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days before start
- Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references verified within 2 years of start
- Annual skills checklist required
