Travel RN Opportunity – Behavioral Health (Elko, Nevada)

Position Overview

• Department: Behavioral Health Unit (3rd Floor)
• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Patient Population: Adult
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments:

  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Schizophrenia
  • Schizoaffective Disorder
  • Personality Disorders
  • Dual Diagnosis (primary mental health)
• Equipment Used: Vitals Machine, EMAR, Omnicell
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Med Host

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • BLS required (must be obtained within 60 days of start date if not current)
  • PALS required (must be obtained within 90 days of start date)
  • Handle with Care preferred
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1 year inpatient behavioral health experience required
• Dress Code: Scrubs required (no specific color)

Additional Information

• Fit testing is offered on-site to travelers.
• Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel.
• Orientation sessions are held weekly.
