Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract Opportunity

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (MRI Tech)
Employment Type: Travel / Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday
  • No call and no weekends

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Siemens MRI system experience required (Siemens Aera, Skyra, Sola)
  • Procedures/Scans: Neuro, Body, MSK, Breast
  • Credentialing/Licensure:
    • ARRT (MR) certification required
    • BLS certification required
    • Must have or be willing to obtain Ohio state license (OH radiology license not required for MRI techs)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks & Fingerprinting

  • Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service is 2+ months
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required on the 15th of each month
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed immediately upon signing through agency
  • Facility will conduct additional fingerprinting onsite on the first day

Certifications

  • BLS (AHA only) required for all candidates
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable (AHA only)
  • National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration
  • Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required annually
  • State license primary source verification prior to start and upon expiration

Health & Immunization

  • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific N95 masks required)
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start or chest x-ray if prior positive
  • Annual TB questionnaire if history of positive TB
  • Immunizations or titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel + Nicotine drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 – Mar 31)

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Completion of online training modules prior to start (4-5 hours, must be done on a computer using Chrome)
  • Badge pickup on first day for MRI techs
  • Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually

Employment History & References

  • Application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care in a similar area
  • Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually

This is a 13-week travel contract for an MRI technologist with Siemens MRI experience, working night shifts Monday through Friday with no weekends or call.
