Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position

Location: Gainesville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Facility Overview

  • 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
  • Specializes in treatment and recovery for patients with severe injury or illness
  • Focus on stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
  • Comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs

Position Details

  • Department: Therapy
  • Role: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Specialty: Neuro or Inpatient Rehab preferred
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Shift: Day with weekend rotation
  • Weekly Hours: 40 (including 8 weekend hours)
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Required Certifications: Georgia state license
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
  • Float Requirements: None

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 40
  • Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per clinician
  • Equipment Used: Bioness Vector, Senaptec, Neuro VR, Lite Gait, Standing Frame, Tilt Table, Car Simulator, Chattanooga Tower, NuStep, Omnicycle
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR): EPIC (read-only), UDS Pro Doc Rehab Connect
  • Patient Population: Adult, geriatric, neuro, ortho, debility, amputee, critical illness

Required Skills and Experience

  • Evaluation and treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and geriatric populations
  • Preferred experience with neuro and inpatient rehab settings
  • Familiarity with GG Quality Indicators
  • Common diagnoses treated: CVA (stroke), hip fracture, debility

Education

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Personality fit: Down to earth, enjoys having fun with treatments and coworkers, able to take a joke
