Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Job - Cleveland, Ohio

Position Details

• Role: X-Ray Technologist
• Setting: Emergency Generals and Surgery area
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (mid shift), 5 days a week (5x8s); possible weekends if needed
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Experience Required: 3-5 years
• Preferred Experience: Siemens equipment
• Licensure: Ohio Radiology license required (must have in hand or be willing to obtain prior to start)
• Certifications Required: ARRT & BLS (AHA) in hand

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • ARRT certification
  • BLS (AHA) required for all candidates
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable (AHA only, preferred non-RQI)
  • State license verification prior to start
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as an X-Ray Technologist
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search including SSN trace, counties, statewide, nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required monthly
• Fingerprinting:

  • FBI and BCI fingerprints required within 12 months of start
  • Must be completed immediately upon signing if not already done
  • X-Ray Techs can start with fingerprint results pending as long as prints have been completed
  • Additional fingerprinting at facility on first day

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Pre-employment physical within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit Mask: Fit testing required within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (approved masks include 3M N95 models)
• TB Testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; chest x-ray required if history of positive TB test
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles): Titer or 2 vaccinations required
  • Mumps: Titer or 2 vaccinations required
  • Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccinations required
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series proof, or signed declination
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccinations required
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start; updated annually; dilute results allowed one retest; instant drug screens not accepted
• Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season (10/31–3/31) or medical/religious exemption with proper documentation; declinations not accepted

Documentation & Compliance

• References: Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
• Employment History: Application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area
• Skills Checklist: Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually
• Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; updated annually
• Orientation: Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser; no skipping videos allowed
• Badge: X-Ray Techs will pick up badges on first day; no photo submission required beforehand
