Job Opportunity: RN CVICU - Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years as an RN
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
- BLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Skills:
- EPIC experience within the last year (mandatory)
- Floating required
- Schedule:
- Block schedule requests considered on a case-by-case basis
- Maximum 7 days of Return to Office (RTO) allowed at submission

- Scrub color: Solid black
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid nursing license verified within 30 days prior to start
- Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
- Health & Immunizations:
- Fit Test (N95 or equivalent, updated annually)
- Pre-employment physical within one year, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- COVID-19 vaccine (fully vaccinated required; exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
- MMR (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B (titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted)
- Influenza vaccine (required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with negative results; no declinations accepted
- Varicella (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
- Tdap within 10 years (optional but recommended)
- Annual TB questionnaire (Summa form, completed and signed)
- If positive PPD, negative chest X-ray within 1 year required
- Drug Screening:
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant, 7 years, plus SSN trace and nationwide checks) within 90 days of start
- OIG, EPLS, and education verifications within 90 days of start
- Other Documentation:
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card or Social Security Number confirmation
- Completion of unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists within one year of start, updated annually
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within 90 days of start, updated annually
Notes
- All certifications and verifications must be current and repeated if there is a break in service of 30 days or more.
- Candidates must submit a complete RN submission packet including required checklists and signatures.
- Only candidates meeting all submission requirements, including EPIC experience and RTO limits, will be considered.
