Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Rochester, Michigan
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days ≈ 13 weeks)
Job Description
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to examine tissue and body structures, providing quality images for interpretation.
- Set up and adjust ultrasound equipment; manually maneuver transducers during exams.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures.
- Conduct routine and complex studies; assist in various imaging procedures.
- Recognize significant anatomical structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment; report malfunctions and lock/tag out equipment if necessary.
- Submit high-quality images and documentation promptly to PACS, ensuring accuracy of image quality, lead markers, and patient data/history.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the department, including procedure rooms, storage, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Vascular Sonography credential from ARDMS or Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI).
- Experience in general and vascular sonography required.
- Vascular certification required.
