X-ray Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Silverdale, Washington
Specialty: X-ray Tech
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-ray Tech
• Active ARRT (R) certification
• Active Washington State License (must have license in hand at time of submittal)
• Current BLS certification
• Must have own lead markers
• Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment

Department & Job Details

• Department: Radiology/X-ray
• Number of rooms:

  • 4 General X-ray rooms
  • 2 Fluoroscopy rooms
• Float coverage between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and Portables
• Imaging performed: General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, and ED exams
• Must be able to perform all General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and OR exams
• Average studies per day: 80-100 (24-hour period)
• EMR system: EPIC
• PACS system: SECTRA
• Equipment includes:

  • 3 GE general X-ray rooms
  • 1 Shimadzu X-ray room
  • GE Fluoroscopy room
  • GE portables
  • OEC C-Arms

Work Schedule & Environment

• Shift length: Mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, days and nights
• Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance
• Weekend shifts: May be every weekend or every other weekend depending on needs
• Holiday shifts: Required if scheduled
• Occasional on-call with a 45-minute response time
• Scrubs: Any professional color allowed; hospital scrubs provided only for OR staff
• Orientation: Typically 3 days of department-specific orientation

Additional Notes

• No IV starting required, but skills are useful
• Radiologist on site 24/7
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
• Supervisory support includes Imaging Supervisor and Shift/Modality Lead Techs
