Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years required, 4 years preferred as a Registered Nurse
- C-Section experience required
- Trauma/gunshot wound experience required
- Travel Experience:
- Will not accept first-time travelers (prior travel experience required)
- Shift:
- 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday (06:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- 1 day off per week (varies)
- Call requirement: 1 night per week and 1 weekend (Saturday or Sunday)
Certifications & Licenses Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - as required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as required
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - required for Labor and Delivery RNs
- State Nursing License (Primary Source Verification)
- NURSYS Verification (for all RNs)
Compliance & Documentation
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education Verification or Diploma/Transcript for highest degree obtained
- Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within a year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Physical Exam: Physician statement within last 12 months
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Flu Vaccination or approved exemption required prior to start (seasonal requirements apply)
- COVID-19 Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required
Additional Requirements
- References:
- 2 professional references required for travel positions, within 2 years of start
- Performance and Internal Evaluations if previously worked with the facility
- Skills Checklist and Competency Exams as applicable, updated annually
- Orientation and facility-specific packets to be completed prior to start
Notes
- Candidates within 50 miles of the facility may be considered locals with adjusted terms.
- This position requires a high level of clinical expertise, especially in obstetrics and trauma care.
- Prior travel contract experience is mandatory; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
