Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Position Details

  • Accepting CRT or RRT credentials
  • Must have 2 years of experience in the specialty (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
  • Must hold an Ohio RRT license at time of submission
  • NBRC certification and AHA BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
  • Work schedule includes weekends as needed; may float to other facilities within the system
  • Contract duration: 12 weeks

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Ohio RRT License (mandatory)
  • NBRC Certification (CRT or RRT candidates)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only; AHA RQI certs acceptable but non-RQI preferred
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RRT working in Emergency Department
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for RRT-NICU
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for RRT-NICU

Compliance & Background Requirements

  • Valid government-issued photo ID required on assignment
  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
  • Transcript/Diploma verification required
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed ASAP (results can take up to 30 days)
  • HIPAA Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement (updated annually)
  • Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; updated annually
  • I9/E-Verify attestation required

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved mask models required)
  • Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; renewed annually
    • For past positive TB tests, chest x-ray clearance and annual TB symptom assessment required
  • TB questionnaire if history of past positive TB
  • Immunizations or titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start; updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted

Experience & Work History

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar specialty area
  • Complete 3 years of prior work history in application
  • Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required; updated annually

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must complete online training modules prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours)
  • Badge pickup from facility required prior to start after completing modules
  • Fingerprinting onsite at badge pickup or onboarding for certain specialties (e.g., RRT-NICU)
  • All work history, including any previous positions within the system, must be included in the candidate profile
  • Scheduling and time-off requests must be communicated during submission and interview
