Travel RN Opportunity - ICU/IMC Float
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: ICU / IMC Float (Intensive Care Unit / Intermediate Care Unit)
- Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Rotating weekends
- Unit Beds: ICU – 16 beds, IMC (including ICU Overflow) – 30 beds
- Patient Ratios: ICU – 1:2, IMC – 1:3 or 1:4
- Patient Population: Adult / Geriatric
- Float Requirements: Must float between ICU main, ICU Overflow, and IMC (stepdown unit)
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: CABG, TAVR, STEMI, NSTEMI, Stroke, Trauma, cardiovascular, neuro, medical surgical ICU/IMC
- Equipment: Baxter Infusion Pumps, GE Monitoring
- EHR System: Medhost
- Dress Code: Black scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse License in Arizona
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- NIH Certification – Required
- Preferred: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (higher requirement supersedes any lower stated)
- 1-2 years ICU experience
- Prior travel experience required: Yes, 1 year travel experience required
- Skills: ICU / Critical Care experience required; preferred experience includes mixed ICU and Cardiac/CVICU
Additional Information
- No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts can be considered but not guaranteed
- Orientation is weekly
- Must indicate shift preference flexibility (day, night, or both)
- Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center with Level 3 Trauma designation
