Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Job Details
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: None (No weekends)

- Float: Yes, clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs

Experience & Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years in specialty (Registered Nurse)
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only (Instructor/Provider and RQI acceptable)
- Additional Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required for ER, ER OB, and ER Psych units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) required for L&D, Post-Partum, and OB units
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
- License: State License verification required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification: Required for RNs
- Competency Exams:
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for Aya candidates)
- Unit-Specific Competency Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required annually for all RNs (with some unit exceptions)
Background & Compliance
- Background Check:
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
- Education Verification: Must be graduate of an accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA, or CASN)
- References: Two professional references required; at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership
- Employment Application: Required, including education details for nursing candidates

Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Physician documentation within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (or TB questionnaire in lieu of annual test)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemption requires documentation
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (new travelers cannot start with pending drug screen)
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but strongly recommended; proof of primary vaccination collected if available
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Dress Code and Hand Hygiene Policy: Must be reviewed and signed
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Certificate: Required prior to start and updated annually
- Ethics and Compliance Policies: Must be reviewed and acknowledged annually for new contracts
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required annually
This position offers a structured schedule with no weekends or on-call duties, suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience in oncology nursing. The role requires EPIC charting experience and adherence to comprehensive background, health, and certification requirements.
