Job Opportunity: RN PCU/Telemetry
Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school of professional nursing
- ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
- Float pool experience required
- Epic electronic health record experience within the last year (mandatory)
- Resume Time Off (RTO) allowed: maximum 7 days; no block-scheduling requests accepted
- Solid black scrubs required
- Phone interview required; candidates must provide availability for the week
Experience
- Specialty: RN PCU/Telemetry

- MMR: Titer or 2 adult MMR vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B: Titer or proof of complete 3-series vaccination; signed declinations accepted
- Influenza vaccine required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require agency approval and documentation
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing required with specific timing; no declinations accepted
- Varicella: Titer or 2 adult vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Tdap within 10 years recommended (optional)
- Annual TB Questionnaire (Summa form) required
- If positive PPD, negative chest X-ray within 1 year required along with TB questionnaire
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search plus SSN trace, counties, statewide, nationwide, OFAC, FACIS Level 3) within 90 days of start
- OIG, EPLS, and education verifications within 90 days of start
- Social Security Card or Social Security Number confirmation required
Additional Testing and Competency Exams (Unit Specific)
- Summa Competency Exam (unit specific)
- Summa Skills Checklist (clinical skills checklist)
- Summa EKG Exam and Telemetry Exam (passing score 80% or higher)
- Summa Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) within 90 days of start
