Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including SS trace, counties lived/worked, nationwide check, sex offender registry, and MVR if driving is required.
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start using specific code (3701.881). New fingerprinting required if break in service >90 days or results older than 1 year.
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring.
  • Education accreditation confirmation required for nursing degree from accredited programs (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA, CASN).
  • Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start.
  • Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism form required.
  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Certificate required prior to start and updated annually.
  • Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgment required.
  • Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually for new contracts.

Health Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease.
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required:
    • Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (or TB questionnaire in lieu of annual test)
    • MMR (2 doses or positive titer for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella)
    • Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
    • Varicella (2 doses or positive titer; medical exemption allowed with documentation)
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declining.
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending drug screens allowed).
