• Medical Care Unit (MCU) serves less acute patients, often awaiting placement to long-term care facilities.
• Patient diagnoses vary widely.
• Unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab; nurses may float between MCU and Inpatient Rehab units.
• Inpatient Rehab provides intense rehabilitation services.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare team members.

• Background & Screening:

  • Background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, etc.
  • Adult and Child Abuse clearance (state requirement).
  • Drug screen (10 panel, within 30 days of start).
  • Education verification through third party.
  • Professional references (2 required, including 1 supervisor).
  • Skills checklist completed within last 12 months.
  • Other screenings: EPLS/GSA/SAM, SING, NSO, OFAC checks within 30 days of start.
