Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing required.
• Responsibilities include team nursing, participating in team meetings with physicians, and collaborating with social workers for patient discharge planning.
• Experience with Omnicell and EPIC systems.
• No IV certifications required.

Required Credentials & Onboarding Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• Active RN license verified through Nursys or equivalent primary source verification within 30 days of start.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• COVID-19 vaccination series plus booster or completed declination.
• MMR immunity (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer).
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity (declinations not accepted at some facilities).
• Influenza vaccine or declination (required during flu season).
• TB test within 1 year of start date.
• Varicella immunity (vaccination or titer).
• Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some facilities).
• Annual respirator fit test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite).
• Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.

Exams & Testing

• Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%).
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%).
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%).
• Prime Skills Checklist.
• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC) within 60 days of start.

Background & Verification

• National criminal background check within 1 year of start (some states require completion before assignment).
• Prime OIG exclusion check.
• Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search.
• Education verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable).
• Prime fingerprinting (facility-specific requirements).
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
• Prime agency attestation completed after all credentials are uploaded.

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
• Prime badge photo (clear headshot with plain background).
• Signed job description and orientation packet.
• Two professional references required (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor).
• Prime resume reflecting accurate and recent work history.
• Annual color-blind test (Relias accepted).

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• No IV certification required.
