Job Opportunity: MRI Technician (Travel)

Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association) - mandatory
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification preferred
• Experience:

  • Experience with MR GE Scanner required
  • Prior hospital work experience required
  • Prior travel experience preferred (not mandatory)
• Skills:

  • Familiarity with EPIC system
  • Ability to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Work Schedule

• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (some varied start times)
• Call: Opportunity for on-call shifts
• Weekends: Every other Saturday morning
• Holidays: 1 holiday required

Required Onboarding and Compliance

• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Completion of Ascension Core Competencies annually (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics)
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation
• Documented proof of vaccinations and health requirements including:

  • Two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Fit Test (annual, preferred prior to start)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination signed and dated
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted)
  • TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Drug screening: 12 panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Employment and education verifications within 90 days prior to start, updated annually
• Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Must have a valid driver's license or state ID matching address requirements
• Resume/profile and at least two professional references required prior to assignment
• Post-assignment evaluations may be conducted
• Travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required

This position is ideal for MRI Technicians with solid hospital experience, appropriate certifications, and flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
