Travel RN Opportunity – Newborn Nursery / Level II NICU

Unit & Facility Overview

• Unit: Newborn Nursery / Level II NICU
• Facility Trauma Level: Level 2
• Number of Beds: 12 Level 1, 2 Level 2
• Patient Population: Newborns (36-41 week newborns)
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients
• EHR System: GE Centricity
• Shift: Day
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Assist Postpartum (PP) or Labor & Delivery (LD), but will not take assignment in those areas

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Specialty: Newborn Nursery / Level II NICU
• Required Years of Experience: 2 years
• Certifications Required:

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• Preferred Certifications:

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • STABLE (post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care)
• Licensure: Registered Nurse License
• Must have skills/experience: NRP, Newborn Nursery (NBN) experience
• Personality Fit: Self-motivated

• No block scheduling
• Meditech experience preferred
• Scrub color optional; own scrubs acceptable
