Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift Options: 3x12 hour shifts or 4x12 hour shifts
- Weekend shifts as needed
- May float to other facilities within the system as needed
Experience & Licensure Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
- CRT or RRT accepted
- Must have Ohio RRT license in hand at time of submission
- NBRC certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only, RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred
- NBRC credential (for CRT and RRT candidates)
- Ohio RRT State License
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RRT in Emergency Department
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for RRT-NICU
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for RRT-NICU
Compliance & Background Checks
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required prior to start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required monthly on the 15th
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed ASAP (cannot pend at start)
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint attestation required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start, renewed annually
- TB questionnaire if history of positive TB test
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific approved masks required)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
Additional Requirements
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
- Employment application must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting and similar specialty area
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually
- HIPAA acknowledgment form required, updated annually
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (approx. 4-5 hours, must be completed on a computer using Chrome)
- Photo for badge required prior to start
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
Notes
- All required certifications and licenses must be current and in hand at time of submission
- Scheduling and time-off requests must be communicated during submission and interview
- Candidates may be required to float to other facilities within the system
- Fingerprinting and background checks must be completed prior to start; delays may impact onboarding
- Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) have additional fingerprinting and certification requirements
