    Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

    Location: Burlingame, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Support cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses in the Interventional Radiology Lab.
    • Perform technical analysis and assist with procedures under cardiologist supervision.
    • Provide patient assessment, monitoring, and communication to ensure safe and precise treatment.
    • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding privacy and safety.
    • May mentor and train students.

    Requirements

    • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Radiology/Cardiology)
    • Certifications:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
      • BLS (Basic Life Support)
      • Fluoro Permit
      • California State License
    • Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, variable start time between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
    • Work every 3rd weekend and On-Call as needed

    Background and Compliance Checks

    • 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:
      • Social Security trace with all aliases
      • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
      • Nationwide sex offender search
      • Education verification (highest level achieved)
      • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
      • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
    • Employment history verification: Full 7 years of work history required with no gaps over 30 days

    Certifications and Competencies

    • Must have current and valid certifications:
      • ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC approved)
      • Fluoro Permit
      • State License verification within 30 days of start
    • Competency exams as applicable (medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG, etc.)
    • Additional certifications may be required depending on position specifics (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification)

    Health and Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work
    • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
    • Immunizations and titers required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
      • Hepatitis B series or declination
      • Varicella immunity or vaccination
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
    • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start

    Facility Specific Requirements

    • Passport-style photo for badge
    • Review and sign facility-specific documents prior to start, including:
      • Job description
      • Standards of Business Conduct
      • Confidentiality Agreement
      • Code of Conduct
      • Vendor Training
      • Overpayment Refund Policy
      • TB Questionnaire (within 90 days, renewed annually)
    • Religious exemption forms available for certain requirements (e.g., PAPR, vaccines)
