Emergency Room Nurse - New Jersey (Mullica Hill)

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience required.
• Travel experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract).
• BSN degree required.
• Experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment preferred.

Certifications / Licensure

• New Jersey Nursing License or Compact License.
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
• Certifications must be current; pending or expiring within 30 days of submission are NOT accepted.

Work Schedule

• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend or 3 per month depending on needs.
• No holiday shifts required.
• Return to Office (RTO) requests: No more than 3 days accepted.
• No block scheduling or special requests allowed.

Orientation

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual and in-person components:

  • Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules on Monday.
  • In-person classes typically Tuesday through Thursday at various locations.
  • Unit-based orientation scheduled by manager.
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation (photo submissions not accepted).

Additional Requirements

• Compliance with various screenings and verifications including but not limited to:

  • Background check, drug screen, employment and educational verification.
  • Immunizations: COVID-19, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella.
  • Competency exams and skills checklists.
  • Confidentiality and mandatory annual training.
  • Various state and federal sanction screenings.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room nurses with prior travel experience looking for a 13-week contract in a fast-paced environment.
