Position Overview

• Role: Interventional Radiology Technician (RT(R))
• Required Certifications: ARRT Certification and Indiana License
• Experience: Neuro and Vascular Interventional Radiology experience required
• Schedule Options:

  • Weekend option schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • 3rd shift during the week available if full-time hours requested
• No on-call required

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • ARRT Certification
  • Indiana State License (current, with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start)
  • BLS (AHA certified)
• Professional Documentation:

  • Signed Assignment Agreement (required for onboarding)
  • Resume/Profile submission required
  • Two professional references required prior to first assignment
  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others (updated annually or if break in service > 90 days)
  • Employment verification for past 7 years (updated annually or if break in service > 90 days)
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days)
• Health & Safety Requirements:

  • MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • TB Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes; positive results require chest X-ray and annual questionnaire
  • Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, updated annually
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter; retesting required if break in service > 90 days
  • Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Additional Requirements:

  • Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics) completed within one year, minimum 80% score
  • Ascension Skills Checklist for specialty, completed within one year and updated annually
  • Ascension Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations
