Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: Interventional Radiology Technician (RT(R))
- Required Certifications: ARRT Certification and Indiana License
- Experience: Neuro and Vascular Interventional Radiology experience required
- Schedule Options:
- Weekend option schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- 3rd shift during the week available if full-time hours requested
- No on-call required
Required Credentials & Compliance
- Licenses & Certifications:
- ARRT Certification
- Indiana State License (current, with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start)
- BLS (AHA certified)
- Professional Documentation:
- Signed Assignment Agreement (required for onboarding)
- Resume/Profile submission required
- Two professional references required prior to first assignment
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others (updated annually or if break in service > 90 days)
- Employment verification for past 7 years (updated annually or if break in service > 90 days)
- Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days)
- Health & Safety Requirements:
- MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- TB Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes; positive results require chest X-ray and annual questionnaire
- Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, updated annually
- 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter; retesting required if break in service > 90 days
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Additional Requirements:
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics) completed within one year, minimum 80% score
- Ascension Skills Checklist for specialty, completed within one year and updated annually
- Ascension Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations
