Description
Travel RN Labor and Delivery Nurse
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with healthcare team members.
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
- Use personal protective equipment following standard precautions.

Health & Immunization Requirements
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (mask required if declined)
- TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
Additional Requirements
- Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days prior to start
- Employment Verification and Education Verification within 90 days prior to start
- Professional References: At least two professional references required
- Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Ascension-specific onboarding and training modules required prior to or at start
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
