Radiology Tech Opportunity - Fargo, North Dakota

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Experience and Certifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience
  • Experience with GE mobile units, OR and PACU mobile x-ray experience
  • Experience with a variety of c-arms including OEC, Phillips, and Siemens
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Active ND state license (NDMIRT) or willingness to apply upon acceptance
  • Active ARRT certification in good standing

Job Description

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on outpatients, inpatients, and urgent care patients
  • Operate large and mini c-arms in the OR and Bioskills Teaching Lab
  • Conduct mobile x-rays in the OR, PACU, and inpatient settings
  • Operate large c-arm for Pain Clinic procedures
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and radiation safety during imaging
  • Deliver excellent patient care and education before, during, and after procedures
  • Navigate electronic medical record (EMR) systems (EPIC “Radiant” and Sectra PACS)
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment

  • Orthopedic/sports medicine hospital with an urgent care center
  • Work primarily in the OR doing c-arm scans and urgent care imaging
  • Must stay until the last urgent care patient has been seen

Schedule and Shift Details

  • Varying weekday shifts between 5:30 AM and 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
  • Evening shift from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM as needed
  • Weekend hours 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM without a lunch break
  • Weekends, holidays, and call required on a rotational basis
  • On call approximately every 3rd or 4th weekend
  • Call hours: Weekdays 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM; Weekends 24 hours
  • Technologist works independently after 5:00 PM on weekdays and during weekend shifts with on-call support
  • No surgical services on weekends; most weekday cases completed by 5:00 PM

Additional Details

  • Floating to ortho clinic, primarily ortho urgent care
  • Dress code: hospital-issued blue surgical scrubs on weekdays; grey scrubs allowed in Pain Clinic and weekends
  • Orientation includes 2 days of facility-specific training and pairing with a preceptor for equipment and protocol training; length tailored to experience
  • Must badge in and out at the facility

Notes

  • Ensure proper submission of licensing paperwork to the NDMIRT Board licensing office to avoid delays
  • Prior work with the facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
