Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Olympia Fields, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Overview

  • Unit: Family Birth Center
  • Beds: 19
  • Staff: 36 (Day and Night shifts all RNs with OB tech/CST support)
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Patient Ratios: Acuity based, following IDPH guidelines
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Equipment: OBIX Electronic Fetal Monitor (EFM)

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Specialty: Labor & Delivery
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in Labor & Delivery nursing
  • Certifications:
    • Fetal Monitor Certification
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
    • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Must Have:
    • Strong labor experience
  • Preferred:
    • Scrub experience

  • Care for labor and antenatal patients
  • Fetal monitor interpretation
  • Vaginal exams
  • Knowledge of OB medications
  • C-section experience
  • Post-recovery and circulating duties
  • Post-partum care
  • Outpatient fetal monitor testing
