Description

Job Opportunity: XRay Tech (Rad Tech)

Location: Bristol, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Certifications & Licenses Required

ARRT Certification
BLS Certification
State of Connecticut License
Covid vaccination (3 shots)

Experience Requirements

At least 2 years of experience preferred (1-2 years per modality, with more experience preferred to perform all exams)
Previous travel experience preferred (not required)

Work Environment & Equipment

Department has 3 scanners/rooms
Imaging types: General, OR, FL, Portables
Average scans per day: 60
Equipment brands: GE, Phillips, Siemens
EMR/PACS systems: Meditech and Intellispace PACS

Scheduling & Shifts

1st and 2nd shifts available
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday requirement: Rotate with permanent staff
No call or standby required

Additional Information

No floating or covering other areas required
No in-house radiologist 24/7
No IV starts required
Scrubs are not provided; dress code: purple tops, eggplant pants
Orientation: 1 day HR orientation; training/shadowing duration varies based on traveler’s adaptability to computer systems
