Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Respiratory Therapy

Location: Mountain View, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Position Overview

• Specialty: Respiratory Therapy

• Shift: Day shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: As needed

Required Qualifications

• Licensure:

  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the State of Missouri
  • Registered through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) or PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization)
  • CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
• Education: Graduate of a COARC/AARC/NBRC approved Respiratory Therapy program
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in respiratory therapy
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Job Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in treating patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
• Serve as an advanced resource for other staff members
• Perform duties within the scope of respiratory care guidelines established by the Missouri Board of Respiratory Care
• Work varying shifts and be able to stand or walk most of the time while on duty
• Be available for on-call hours during off-duty times

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions must be approved)
• Must be able to take call as needed
• The facility is a 25-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center
