Description
Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist (Oncology) - Temp (Days)
Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Position Overview
- Deliver quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments.
- Perform treatment simulations and fabricate necessary shielding blocks.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Prepare equipment for patient treatments, perform quality control and assurance tests.
- Ensure proper infection control and adhere to radiation safety and protection practices.
- Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff.
- Follow a strict 3-strike attendance policy regarding lateness and absences.
Requirements
- Specialty: Radiation Therapist
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of radiation therapist experience required.
- Certifications: ARRT (T) certification required.
- Travel Experience: 1 year of prior travel experience required OR work experience (post-graduation) with Varian and ARIA systems.
- Preferred Experience: TrueBeam, ARIA, Trilogy systems.
- EMR System: ARIA.
- Dress Code: Scrubs of any color.
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
- Employment Type: Temporary.
Additional Information
- The facility serves a broad regional population with a focus on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences.
- Strict attendance policy effective 6/1/2024: 3 strikes for absences or lateness over 20 minutes may result in immediate termination, with exceptions for documented illness or hospitalization.
- Local traveler policy applies for those living within 35 miles of the facility.
This position is ideal for experienced Radiation Therapists with prior travel experience looking for a temporary assignment in a well-established regional hospital setting.
