Job Opportunity: RN MCU (Medical Care Unit)

Location: West Burlington, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Unit Description

  • Medical Care Unit (MCU) serves patients who are less acute and may be awaiting placement to long-term care facilities.
  • Patient diagnoses are varied.
  • The unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab; nurses may float between MCU and Inpatient Rehab units.
  • Inpatient Rehab provides intense rehabilitation services.
  • Telemetry experience is preferred.
  • Patient populations include Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Telemetry, and Psychiatric issues.
  • Nursing care involves assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with the healthcare team.

  • Drug Screen (10 panel, excludes THC; within 30 days of start)
  • Skills checklist (completed within 12 months)

  • CPI/MOAB certification for applicable positions (psych, ER, house supervisors)
  • Professional references (2 required, including 1 supervisor)
  • I-9 Attestation (agency letterhead)
  • Contract employee data sheet
