Radiology / Cardiology Technologist - Travel/Contract Position

Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease.
• Work independently with sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures delivering accurate results timely.
• Gain patient and family cooperation through competent assessment, monitoring, and communication.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
• Must be able to perform both x-ray and CT exams.
• Work alone during 00:00-07:30 hours (with staff support during initial orientation shifts); on-call technologist available during these hours.

Requirements

• California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R)
• CT Experience required
• Fluoroscopy Permit required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be able to work 3 x 12-hour shifts:

  • Friday and Saturday: 20:00 - 08:00
  • Sunday: 20:15 - 08:15

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:

  • Social Security trace with all aliases
  • County searches for last 7 years of locations lived/worked/schooled
  • Nationwide sex offender search
  • Education verification (highest level achieved)
  • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List as applicable
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps; employment verification required for up to 7 years
• References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (annual renewal only if assigned to specific units)
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids)

Shift Details

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Friday and Saturday: 8 PM to 8 AM
• Sunday: 8:15 PM to 8:15 AM

Additional Notes

• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and other regulatory documents prior to start.
• Religious exemptions for PAPR or vaccine requirements require approval and specific documentation.
• On-call technologist support available during overnight solo shifts.

This position is ideal for a certified Radiologic Technologist with CT and fluoroscopy experience, comfortable working independently overnight shifts, and meeting comprehensive background, health, and compliance requirements.
