Unit Information

• Unit Type: Respiratory Therapy
• Specialty Areas: ICU, Med Surg, ER, NICU
• Number of Beds: 160
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 5-6 staff minimum
  • Night Shift: 4-4.5 staff minimum
• Patient Ratios: Standard RVU system (<65 RVUs)
• Shift Times: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 6-week schedules, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
• Weekends: Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS required; NRP or some NICU skills preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty
• Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU settings
• Proficient in managing BiPAPs, ventilators, Heated High Flow units
• Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
• Proficient in EMR charting (EPIC system)
• Ability to manage heavy patient loads and time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• NICU skills and experience
• Experience in ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care procedures
• Independent, self-motivated, and willing to assist with higher acuity patients
