Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Dates: February 9, 14, or 23
- Shift: Weekends, 7am-7pm (Either Saturday-Monday or Friday-Sunday)
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as required
- Tech Certification Verification - National (as applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (for applicable inpatient roles)
Licensure
- State license not required for this position
Background and Screening Requirements
- 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
- Wisconsin Caregiver Screening (state-specific search)
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant acceptable)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (required for non-clinical roles)
- TB screening: QGold test required within 1 year (no TSpot/PPD accepted)
- Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines required)
- Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
- Color Blind Testing (if applicable)
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references verified within 2 years of start (for inpatient RNs, one must be from most recent acute care assignment)
- Skills checklist required annually
- Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters)
- Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be signed prior to start
- Dosimeter request form required for Imaging Department (not required for MRI Tech specialty)
Notes
- First-time travelers generally not accepted unless experienced in multiple facilities and trauma levels 1 or 2.
- Candidates must be adaptable to change quickly.
- No state license required, which may ease credentialing for out-of-state candidates.
This position is ideal for experienced MRI Technologists with required certifications who are available for weekend shifts and can commit to a 13-week travel contract in Wisconsin.
