Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Turnersville, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday required
  • Floating: Potential to float to nearby campuses
  • On-Call: None
  • Equipment Used: GE and PACS
  • Scrub Color: Black

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • New Jersey State License
  • ARRT (R) (MR)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as applicable
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as applicable
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification – as applicable
  • State License Primary Source Verification
  • NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP as applicable)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background Check: 7-year criminal history, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
  • Physical Exam: Physician statement within 2 months of start
  • Fit Mask Test: Within 12 months prior to start (3M 1870+ model required)
  • Immunizations & Health:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (current)
    • Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive
    • Annual TB Questionnaire
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions apply for candidates born before 1957)
    • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
    • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 Vaccine: No longer required prior to start; medical/religious exemptions accepted with masking requirements; booster preferred but not required

Orientation & Training

  • Completion of facility-specific education modules (~6 hours) prior to orientation
  • Pass/Fail Basic Dysrhythmia Exam during orientation (one attempt only)
  • Signed acknowledgements for safety manual and pass/fail testing

Additional Requirements

  • References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start
  • Work History Verification: Minimum 1 year prior work history verified (NJ candidates)
  • Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology and other competency exams as applicable
  • Facility-specific instructions and documentation to be completed prior to start

Notes

  • Local Rate Differential applies
  • Return to Office (RTO) required upon submission
  • No PAPRs available on site
  • Candidates must be willing to comply with all health and safety requirements including mask fit testing and immunizations
  • Floating may require travel to other nearby campuses within the health system

This position is suitable for MRI Technologists with at least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology, who hold the necessary certifications and licenses, and are comfortable working night shifts with weekend and holiday requirements. Prior travel experience is not required.
