Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• Acute care hospital with 137 beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (Floor 232)
• 24 beds in the unit
• Patient population: All ages
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
• Shift: Days, 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call requirements: As needed
• Patient ratios: Not specified

Position Details

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical - Telemetry
• Number of openings: 1
• Float requirements: As needed
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; no casual wear
• Required education: Valid RN license to practice in North Carolina
• Certifications required prior to start:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CPI/HWC/MAB (Crisis Prevention Intervention / Healthcare Worker Certification / Medication Administration by RN)
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification

Experience Requirements

• Years of experience in specialty: 2 years (higher end of 1-2 years range)
• Prior travel experience: Not required
