Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) Travel/Contract Position
Location: Kingwood, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), weekdays, every other weekend, float
- Unit Profile: Average 0.2 patients per day
- Start Date: ASAP
- EMR System: CPSI
Required Certifications
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Preferred Certification:
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
Required Skills
- Conscious sedation
- Telemetry
- Ventilator management
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Prior travel experience not required
Dress Code
- Scrubs not provided
- Recommended colors: wine and/or burgundy
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Candidates must submit the following prior to start:
- Candidate profile (work history)
- Specialty-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
- Minimum 2 clinical or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
- RN license verification
- COVID vaccine or declination documentation
- All required certifications on file (no pending certificates allowed)
Background & Health Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
- E-Verify and other federal background screenings (updated every contract renewal)
- Education verification
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (updated annually)
- Fit mask test within 1 year (updated annually)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred within 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (updated annually)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of Care Learning modules prior to start
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements
- Photo for badge required prior to clearance
- Compliance with dress code and parking guidelines
Additional Notes
- Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
- ReadySet (RS) Contractor Form and surveys may be required depending on facility
- Cerner EMR training modules are not required for this facility
