Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Facility Overview

  • 355-bed hospital with specialized centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU
  • Additional units: 32-bed Emergency Department, 29-bed inpatient rehab, 15-bed surgical suite & imaging
  • Behavioral Health campus with 81 beds for adults

Unit Profile

  • Specialty: Med Surg
  • Number of Beds: 17-18
  • Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
  • Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 nurse to 4 patients (0.25 ratio)
  • EHR System: Cerner (experience required)
  • Float Requirements: Must be able to float to all areas of the facility
  • Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg specialty
  • Cerner EHR experience is required
