Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least one travel contract)
• High volume/fast pace experience preferred

Education & Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• New Jersey Nursing License or Compact License
• Certifications required:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Note: Pending certifications or certifications expiring within 30 days of submission are NOT accepted

Contract Length

• 8 weeks

Work Schedule

• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend or 3 weekends per month, depending on needs
• Holidays: None
• Return to Office (RTO) policy: No more than 3 days accepted
• No block scheduling or special requests allowed

Orientation & Onboarding

• Orientation is mandatory and must be completed fully; failure to do so results in immediate termination
• Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules to be completed by Monday of start week
• In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at various locations (location details provided via HealthStream)
• Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager
• Badge ID appointment required during orientation (photo submissions not accepted); badge needed for clock-ins

Additional Requirements

• Compliance with various screenings and verifications including background check, drug screen, immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella), physical exam, and competency exams
• Completion of core mandatory annual training and confidentiality agreements

This position is ideal for experienced ER nurses with prior travel assignments who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and meet all licensure and certification requirements.
