Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Neuro Critical Care)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Neuro Surgical and Neurological Intensive Care
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Number of Openings: 2 (0.9 FTE each)
- Float Requirements: Floating to other inpatient areas when home unit census is low
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Neuro ICU experience (higher value confirmed)
- Comprehensive assessment skills
- Care of hemodynamically unstable patients
- Care of mechanically ventilated patients
- Thorough neurological assessment skills
Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

- EVD (External Ventricular Drain) management

Patient Population
- Ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
- Post-op craniotomy
- Seizures
- Encephalopathy
- Neurologic tumors

- Dress Code: Navy scrubs required; hoodies are not acceptable
Orientation
- Includes completion of modules on first day
- Epic training if needed
- One day of unit orientation
