Job Opportunity: Radiology Tech - Traveler (Rotating)
Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures following department protocols and regulatory standards (HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations).
- Serve as the first line interface with customers to meet imaging needs.
- Participate in Performance Improvement/Quality Control activities.
- Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Current CRT issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
- ARRT-R certification required.
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES.
- Must obtain fluoroscopy permit by CDPH within 6 months of hire.
- Must obtain venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHA).
- Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred (use 1 year as required).
- Proficient computer skills.
Prior Travel Experience

Required Certifications & Compliance (Must be current or obtained as specified)
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- Fluoroscopy permit (within 6 months of hire)
- Venipuncture certificate (within 3 months of hire)
- COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or declination completed
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
- Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted)
- Influenza vaccine or declination (declinations not accepted)
- Tdap vaccine as an adult (declinations not accepted)
- Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity
- TB Test within 1 year of start date
- Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
- Physical/Health Statement annually, must state clear to work
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years)
- Driver’s License or State ID or Passport
- Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC saliva test (California locations only)
- Color-blind test (annual)
- Criminal Background Check (national, within 1 year)
- Resume and 2 professional references (1 from a manager or supervisor)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Skills Checklist
- Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
- Badge photo (JPEG, clear headshot)
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
- Job description signed by employee
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts if third party verification unavailable)
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP)
This position requires a licensed and certified Radiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, compliance with multiple health and safety certifications, and the ability to work a rotating travel assignment in California.
