Job Opportunity: Nursing Supervisor (Med Surg)
Location: Soldotna, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Represent hospital administration and supervise all hospital departments.
- Serve as a resource for all department personnel.
- Oversee staffing, patient safety, and communication with medical staff and administration.
- Lead and deploy staffing resources during emergent situations.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and adequate inventory control.
- Respond to patient rapid response and complaint issues.
Unit Information
- Med Surg and ICU oversight.
- 49-bed hospital.
- Night shift required.
- Use of computerized charting and medication systems (e.g., EPIC).
- Dress code: Scrubs.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of Nursing experience in Acute Care.
Licenses & Certifications
- Alaska RN License required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Night shift.
- May require working alone and weekend shifts.
- Supervision by House Supervisor and Chief Nursing Officer.
Additional Notes
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
