Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (CRT or RRT)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Requirements
- Licensure:
- Must have Ohio RRT license in hand
- CRT or RRT accepted
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
- Certifications:
- NBRC certification required (current)
- AHA BLS certification required at time of submission (AHA RQI certs acceptable but non-RQI preferred)
- ACLS required for RRT in Emergency Department
- PALS and NRP required for RRT-NICU (pediatric specialty)
- Work Schedule:
- 8 or 12 week assignments
- Weekends as needed
- May float to other facilities within the system
Prior Travel Experience
- No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID must be carried on assignment
- Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service is 2+ months
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Transcript/Diploma required for all candidates
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually
- Negative 2-step TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
- Immunization or titer proof required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
- Employment application must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar specialty area
- Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist required; must be updated annually
- HIPAA acknowledgment form required and must be updated annually
Additional Notes
- Candidates may be required to complete online training modules prior to start (approx. 4-5 hours)
- Badge pickup from facility required prior to start
- Fingerprinting onsite at badge pickup or onboarding for most candidates; pediatric specialty candidates complete fingerprinting onsite early in onboarding
- All work history, including any prior positions within the system, must be included in the candidate profile
This position is ideal for respiratory therapists with at least 2 years of experience, current Ohio RRT licensure, and required certifications, seeking a travel contract in a large healthcare system with opportunities to float across facilities.
