Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department

Location: Wilson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Specialty: Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN)
Facility: 26-bed Emergency Department
Shift: Varies
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Patient Population: All ages (geriatric, adult, pediatric)
Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (flexible depending on acuity)
Equipment: GE Monitors, standard ED equipment
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech (preferred experience)

Requirements

Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)
Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Personality Fit: Team player, engaged, positive attitude

Additional Information

Float assignments are similar to the primary assignment
Common diagnoses and treatments encountered include: Respiratory Distress, Overdose, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Dialysis, Hypertension (HTN)
Scrub color is flexible; no unacceptable attire specified beyond standard scrubs
