Description
OT (Occupational Therapist) - Inpatient/LTC Float
Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide float coverage between inpatient acute care and long-term care (LTC) settings. The role involves evaluation and treatment of adult patients with a variety of diagnoses including general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, some neuro diagnoses, and general medical-surgical cases. Coverage includes skilled therapy services at SNF facilities.
Requirements
Licensure/Certifications:
- Minnesota Occupational Therapy License (or willingness to obtain)
- Active BLS (AHA) certification
Experience:
- 1 year of experience in the acute care setting within the past 3 years preferred but not required
- Experience with inpatient and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience highly preferred
Other:
- Willingness to float to all locations as needed
- Must be able to work independently, occasionally as the only OT at an LTC location with phone support available
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, day shift
- No call or weekend shifts
Work Environment
- Hospital licensed for 118 beds; therapy caseload typically 30-40 patients
- SNF facilities: Neilson Place (60 beds) and Blackduck GSS (30 beds)
- Use of EPIC (acute care) and Casamba/NetHealth (LTC) electronic medical records
- Computer-based orientation plus 1-on-1 training for documentation and department orientation
- Dress code: Polo shirts (ceil blue, khaki, gray, chocolate brown) or business casual
