Experience Requirements

• Minimum: 18 months in specialty
• Preferred: 2 years in specialty

Certifications Required / Preferred

• Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) also preferred
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• National certification preferred but not required for Cath Lab Techs
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, Chemo, EFM) but not specified for this role

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Call is required
• Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Floating to sister facilities within 20 miles required
• Block scheduling: Not accommodated
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Pending license not accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts, 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
• Smoke-free facility: All travelers must be nicotine-free (negative 10 panel drug screen including nicotine test required)

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)

Health & Immunization

• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10 panel drug screen including nicotine within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• COVID vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required

Documentation & Training

• Proof of I9, E-Verify, and government-issued photo ID required
• Online training modules must be completed by due date prior to start (high priority, no exceptions)
• Pass/fail testing (EKG/Pharmacology) required only for RNs/LPNs, not applicable here
• Competency exams as applicable
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
• National certification verification within 30 days of start

Other Requirements

• 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel/allied positions
• Employment application required
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable

• Time-sensitive training modules must be prioritized immediately upon assignment confirmation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront with application; late requests likely denied

• Floating to multiple nearby hospitals required as part of the assignment
