Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Laguna Hills, California

Work Schedule

• 5x8 hour shifts, AM
• Variable start times: 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Occasional Saturday shifts required (4-5 hours)
• Floating: Not required

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
• Mammography Credential
• Dexa/Bone Density Exams

Additional certifications (may be required depending on qualification):

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• Tech Cert Verification - National
• State License Verification (primary source online verification required)

Time Off / Scheduling

• Pre-approved time off at manager’s discretion; must be included at time of submission

Required Compliance & Documentation

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background Checks (standard Aya Healthcare background check within 1 year, updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks
• HHS/OIG checks
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (not required for Per Diem)

• Facility-specific policies review (Drug and Alcohol Free, Hand Hygiene, Dress and Appearance)
• EPIC Education Certificate of Completion (approx. 8 hours of modules)
• YouLearn Modules completion
• HIPAA Education Certificate of Completion (must be completed before EPIC modules)
• Physical Exam (within 1 year)
• Fit Mask test (within 1 year, renewed annually; fit testing required onsite or scheduled with Employee Health)
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years, can decline)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year, updated annually)
  • TB Questionnaire (annual)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low/equivocal titer)
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody Titer (declination acceptable if low/equivocal)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (declination acceptable if low/equivocal)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination (required Nov 1 - Apr 30, declination acceptable)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred
• Drug Testing: Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year (instant drug screen acceptable; marijuana panel excluded per California state mandate effective 1/1/2024)

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required by profession)
• Color Blind Testing (annual)
• Competency Exam (within 2 years)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for RNs in specific units; may not apply to Mammography Tech)
