Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: 12 hours (Every other or every third weekend)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Unit: TeleTrauma
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios: 5:1 or 6:1
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
• EHR System: Meditech EMR
• Equipment Used:

  • Welch Allyn V/S machine
  • Hoyer Lift with weight scale
  • Abbott Glucometer
  • Computers on Wheels
  • TR band
  • Baxter IV pumps

Required Qualifications

• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification
• Years of Experience in Specialty: Minimum 1.5 years
• Preferred Education: Associate degree required; BSN preferred
• Preferred Experience:

  • Meditech experience preferred
  • EKG interpretation and critical thinking skills a plus
  • Ability to manage discharges and admissions
  • Basic cardiac drip knowledge

• Chest Pain (CP)
• Acute Renal Failure (ARF)
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Uncontrolled Diabetes
• Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• Post Cardiac Catheterization care

Additional Notes

• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Local candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
