Job Opportunity: RN - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Wilson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Circulating RN in the Operating Room
• Specialty Areas: Orthopedic, General Surgery, Laparoscopy, Urology, GYN, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, DaVinci robotic surgery, ENT, Pediatric Dentistry
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: 8 or 10 hours, Monday through Friday, plus on-call
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Call Requirements: 4-6 weekdays per month; every 3rd weekend on call (subject to change)
• Patient Population: All ages except children under 1 year
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment plus DaVinci Xi Robot
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech (preferred experience)

Requirements

• Licensure: Must have an active RN license valid in North Carolina
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (Operating Room, Circulating RN)
• Skills: Must have circulating and OR experience; scrubbing in on surgical cases preferred
• Personality: Pleasant, positive, and hard working
• Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided; no provocative, offensive, or political attire

Additional Information

• Facility: 6 Operating Rooms, Joint Commission Accredited
• Call schedule and weekend hours are required
• No float requirements
• Common procedures include abdominal, GYN, laparoscopic surgeries, fractures, total joints, bladder, prostate, cataracts, etc.
